Success is progressive, and the more you achieve your goals the more you continue to increase confidence!
The same still applies to bodybuilding and general workouts. If you want to achieve your target weight gain or your desired muscle mass, you need to know the right steps to take. You have to build on any little success you have and use that momentum to carry on. Let’s get started immediately (Mind you, we might come out a bit tough with our words, but guess what, if you want to achieve your dream look, you have to be tough).
KEEP A TRAINING LOG OF YOUR PROGRESS
A training journal or log helps you pen down your progress, and it also gives you the opportunity to monitor and analyze your performance. It doesn’t matter the type of workout you are doing, always keep a detailed log of your performance.
It is essential to know that when using a training log, consistency is key. Try and ensure your training conditions are constant.
SAY NO TO GARBAGE REPS
There comes a time when you are building momentum with the ideal load, and rep, your body just gets tired (i.e. fatigue sets in).
Whenever you find yourself in such situation, it is advisable to keep the same load you are working with even though your reps will be fewer as you progress than reducing the load so that you can keep your reps up.
The latter is known as garbage rep, and they don’t give you your weight gain at the end of the day. We can even go as far as to say that they are problematic to your muscle mass target.
STOP THE EXERCISE WHEN YOU HIT YOUR PERSONAL BEST
There are various training sessions we experience when we workout. There are some days when we achieve superman levels, and there are other days when it seems like we would just go with the wind. On those days when we attain superman status, you can push yourself even more. But if you feel like you’ve hit your personal best, you can stop. Doing both can help you achieve remarkable results.
NEVER COMPROMISE ON SUPPLEMENTS AND DIET
You supplement, and diet plays a key role when it comes to weight gain and muscle mass. The right supplement and diet would help with your recovery, boost muscle growth, and help you with better gains. Your veggies and proteins are very vital in this regard.
HAVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Most people often workout without keeping recovery in mind. If you neglect recovery, you will only end up limiting yourself. The same way you are aggressive in a workout, still use that same level of aggressiveness to recover. You will only get the result you seek when you balance workout and recovery.
